Took me too long to discover vans. I love how they are stylish but not over the top so I can wear them in my office job.They are definitely made for skateboarding. They are tough as nails and have great smooth surface grip. I love how hard the sides of the shoe are. Fantastic for board control. Honestly I immediately felt it when skateboarding. I was wearing running shoes before so they were definitely too soft/round.That said, i woukd not buy these for running. I will run on the tread mill with them but thats about it. They are great weight lifting shoes though. Flat and no slip.
