So the shoe sent was mislabeled. It had a label for the black and white laced vans but ended up being a pair of white vans without laces and spikey things where the grommet holes for the laces should be. Fortunately, my daughter was happy with the white shoes as much as the ones we thought we were getting so we didn't send them back. They were the right size. It seems to be primarily and label error and not an intentional mistake. However they might want to check the box vs. what is supposed to be in it prior to shipment.
